Project Straatiokaal. How To Turn A Dumpster Bin Full Of Old Rubbish Into A Tiny Home...

Artists Rikkert Paauw and Jet van Zwieten of FOUNDation Projects in Holland's Utrecht started by having some empty dumpster bins delivered to the town square, the local residents were invited to fill them with 'rubbish' and then the artists proceeded to create tiny homes and temporary shelters using the recycled materials.
Called Project Straatiokaal, it's been used to promote responsible waste management and recycling.
There's more about it here.
Man's ingenuity or necessity being the mother of invention.
Don't you just love the sinkbench door...

  1. Not only is this NOT rubbish it's a viable option for the world's homeless - beats a park bench and a cardboard blanket!!..
